After aprox. one Year Red Hat release Update 5 and we getting closer to a stable Enviroment. We start in early 2006 with Update 3, this Release has a undeterministic DLM Problem so we decide to go with Update 4 in February 2007. That was the beginning of a very hard time, because Update 4 has major Problem with the Red Hat Cluster Suite espeacally in the rgmanager package but also in the dlm! We installed Hotfix over testpackage and loos Menweeks to find bugs, then Red Hat Release Update 5 and we begun to Test. Also there where so bugs at the beginning, now this Time we have migrate over 90 % of our Clusters.
I hope Red Hat has learnd and do really more quallity checks on theyre Red Hat Cluster Suite, because we don’t like to upgrade our Server / Clusters every six months.
